I welcome singers of all ages and teach at all levels and abilities – from absolute beginners right through to the seasoned professionals who may only require guidance on specific aspects of a song. I can also work with you on your singing grades through any of the main exam boards; ABRSM, LCM, Trinity or Rock School.
I undertake my teaching in an area of my home which is fully equipped with a piano, guitar, recording equipment, amplifier and a selection of microphones. I also have access to thousands of backing tracks and other extensive resources to ensure that I can accommodate all of your learning needs in enjoyable and comfortable surroundings.
Where appropriate, students will be provided with exercises, backing tracks or vocal arrangements; however, you are encouraged to bring a USB memory stick with you to your lessons to enable the transfer of backing tracks and other electronic resources. You are also welcome to bring your own music, or backing tracks on CD or memory stick.
I find that, during some lessons, it may be useful to record students when they are singing as this can be a valuable means of providing constructive feedback. However, this will only be done with the student’s, or where applicable, the parent’s consent.
The length of lessons is dependent entirely on your needs and requirements but can range from 30 minutes up to a whole day if necessary. Additionally, you can book regular lessons each week or even one off lessons as and when you require them, for example, to learn / improve specific vocal techniques, to make a recording or for an audition.
