Choirs

I currently run two singing groups which are open to everyone - whether you think you can or can’t sing! Both groups cover a whole array of contemporary songs.

The A Town Sound

My main vocal group (or ‘choir’ for the traditionalists out there) takes place in my home town of Atherstone in North Warwickshire and runs every Monday evening throughout the year, from 6:30pm - 8:00pm, apart from bank holidays.

We are a community-based group singing 3-, 4- and 5-part harmonies, covering everything from ABBA to Queen and Adele to Ed Sheeran! No auditions are necessary and you don’t have to be a good singer. The whole aim of the group is to have fun and we certainly do! We undertake several performances during the year although it isn’t compulsory for members to take part in any or all of these performances, as you are welcome to just come long to rehearsals if this is what you would prefer.

Many of the songs we perform are arranged by myself, a couple of which you can find here. If you are looking for any arrangements for your own choir or singing group please contact me for more information.

Saturday Singers

This is a relatively new choir, having only just started up in October 2018. While we are still covering contemporary music, this group also includes less-utilised forms of contemporary music such as country and Gospel. This group again takes place in Atherstone on a Saturday morning, from 10:30am - 12:00pm during school term time and is ideal for new singers who think they need a little more nurturing to take their first steps singing within a group. We still cover harmonies within our group but we also include more fun rounds and canons to get everyone blending together. Please contact me for more information.
